Keeping Up With Zoe

 

 

Zoe's resume is simple but the pop of color adds a bit of character. This resume is organized and easy to follow just like Zoe.  Zoe's flyer is simple once again but there's nothing exciting about this one. She had a little bit of trouble trying to execute her ideas.  Now we're talking! Zoe's brochure is screaming Bengal pride. She's stepped it up a notch giving the tiger print boarders and the graphics that she's included. Very fun project! Zoe's postcard is simple but graphics are exciting. With the city as her background it really shows that she loves where she's from. She's incorporated her logo at the bottom because even though its not a real company she fell in love with the design.  Zoe's logo is a representation of her made up brand of streetwear clothes for kids.       In 1970 one year after the legendary Stonewall Riots two men, law student Richard Baker and librarian James McConnell had applied for a marriage license in Minnesota. Clerk Gerald Nelson rejected their application because they were a same-sex couple. Baker and McConnell appealed, but the state Supreme Court affirmed the trial judge’s decision in 1971 in Baker v. Nelson. When the couple appealed yet again, the U.S. Supreme Court in 1972 declined to hear the case this ruling effectively blocked federal courts from ruling on same-sex marriage for decades, leaving the decision solely in the hands of states .
